Project overview

A strong blue key cools the skin and narrows the gap between the model and the backdrop. The eye make-up is the frame's detail, and it is competing with the background's own blue.

Transformation details

Skin was corrected back to a warm neutral and the background taken a shade deeper, which restores the separation from both sides.
The eye make-up got a local contrast lift so it holds as its own colour rather than merging with the field behind.
Skin was evened with frequency separation, keeping the natural specular on the cheek and lip.
The edge of the head wrap was cleaned where the blue had bled into it.
