Project overview

Metallic balloons and a beaded dress both look like colour casts to a global correction. The pale background also falls off unevenly, with a dark studio edge down the right side.

Transformation details

Balloons and beads read as colour casts to a global correction, so the pale background was evened on its own and the dark edge on the right removed before any colour decision was made.
The gold balloons were corrected separately so they hold gold rather than drifting yellow-green.
The beadwork got a small local contrast lift so its specular highlights survive.
Skin was evened and the ribbon strings cleaned where they cross the body.
