Project overview

The platform edge runs across the bottom of the frame and the background falls off unevenly toward the corners. Lifting it all to white flattens the model unless the model is protected first.

Transformation details

The background was taken to an even high key with the model masked out, so none of the lift reached the skin.
The platform edge was rebuilt as floor rather than cropped away, keeping the full-length composition.
The grey the original floor had been bouncing into the skin was rebalanced out, and the skin evened.
The cake and the other pink props were cleaned and brought into one colour family.
