Project overview

The circle of light is the composition, and it is uneven, with creases in the backdrop paper running through it. Evening it by hand risks flattening the falloff that gives the frame its depth.

Transformation details

Creases in the backdrop were smoothed first, then the circle was evened radially so it keeps its natural falloff toward the edge.
The black dress was opened up in the shadows so its shape shows against the bright field behind it.
The roses were corrected to hold their red against the warm background.
Skin was evened and modelled, keeping the rim the circle throws along the arm.
