Project overview

The model is perched on a step ladder that is fully visible and sets the height of the whole pose. It cannot be cropped away without losing the legs, and the frontal pink studio light is the opposite of a night scene.

Transformation details

The car was placed so its door line lands where the ladder's top step was, keeping the body at the height it was photographed.
The ladder was removed and the interior rebuilt behind the figure rather than around it.
The pink key was replaced with warm light from the car and a cool fill from the sky, so the modelling on the face comes from the new scene.
Smoke and small light glints were added last, softest nearest the camera.
