Project overview

The backdrop bar and the ceiling are in shot at the top, the edges of the paper show on both sides, and there is a scrap of debris on the floor in front of the couple.

Transformation details

With the stand bar, the ceiling and both paper edges in shot, the backdrop was extended upward and outward past them, so the frame keeps its height instead of being cropped.
The floor debris was removed and the floor tone matched to the wall.
Both subjects were evened against one skin-tone reference.
The black clothing and the flowing fabric were opened up in the shadows so their folds show.
