Retouching
A portrait on a fallen tree over a woodland stream, with hard dappled sun evened across the skin and the forest darkened behind the model for separation.

Project overview
Dappled sun puts hard bright patches on the skin and leaves the rest in shade. It is the most difficult natural light to retouch, because the unevenness is real rather than a colour cast.
Transformation details
The bright patches were brought down individually and the shaded skin lifted, so the body ends on one exposure without a global change.
The background was darkened away from the model, which turns a busy woodland into a backdrop.
The water and the foliage were graded cooler so the warm skin separates.
A standard skin pass followed, with the texture kept.
