Project overview

The frame is a wide studio shot with a pale wall and a bare floor. The costume carries the theme, and nothing else in the picture does.

Transformation details

A cloud wall was built across the whole background at a scale that suits the costume's own graphic style.
A wooden floor was laid in at the capture's real perspective, taken from the shadow the child already casts.
Toys were placed to the left and right, far enough out to frame the child without crowding, each with its own floor shadow.
The grade was warmed slightly so the set and the costume share one temperature.
