Project overview

The gown's long train lies on the studio floor. Any new interior needs a floor the train can plausibly rest on, at the right perspective, or the dress will float.

Transformation details

The interior was built with its floor plane set from the train, not from the horizon, because the fabric already shows where the ground is.
A polished marble surface was used so the gown picks up a soft reflection, which ties the dress to the room.
Arched windows, lilac drapes and white flower arrangements were placed to echo the gown, keeping the frame to one palette.
A flower-filled pram was added at a scale that sits as furniture rather than as a second subject.
